*Sundays in June & July... Until further notice Sunday gatherings will continue to be limited to two services: 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the Sunday School rooms which are opened to one large room. Please note that there will be no hand-shaking and everyone is encouraged to wear a mask.
Our volunteer receptionists will begin answering the phone and helping with the front door on Monday, June 8. They are primarily there to allow entrance to vendors, mail carriers, and others who are doing necessary work at the church.
Prayer groups will be permitted to begin meeting again beginning June 8 with “social distancing” measures and awareness in place. Please check with the leaders of these groups to see if and when they will be meeting!
We are inviting adult Bible study classes to resume [if they want to] and to utilize the fellowship hall, one class at a time on Sunday afternoons and evenings starting on June 21st. We want the room to remain set up as it is for morning worship with the chairs spaced apart. Some classes may choose not to meet until later in the summer and that’s OK. We could have classes one at a time at 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. If we need to add more times on other days, we can. Again, we want to maintain “social distancing” as best as we can for the time being. Any teachers of Bible classes who would like to schedule a time to use the fellowship hall are welcome to contact Pastor Dirk.
We intend to move back into the sanctuary for worship on July 19th. This will hopefully allow for the completion of several changes to the interior of the sanctuary, including the installation of new carpet. This will be a special day in the life of our church! There will be two services – at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. We expect that chairs will continue to be spaced apart at this time.
We will also resume Sunday evening services on July 19th. The service will begin at 5:00 pm.
The Gathering Place will resume on Tuesday, September 8th which is the day after Labor Day.
Wednesday evening gatherings [choir practice and prayer meeting] will start back up again on Wednesday, September 9th.
Sunday morning emails containing links to the sermon and worship music will continue each week.
Additional news...the new missionary books for this year are available to be checked out in the church lobby using an "honor" system. Also, there are free church library books available on the library table. Any that aren't picked up will be donated to our prison ministry.
*Please note: If you are uncomfortable or unable to join us inside the building, "drive-in" is still available. At the “drive-in” services please tune your FM radio to the specific frequency to listen to the live service. The service will involve Scripture, music, prayer, and preaching. Interaction involving hugging or touching is discouraged. Please continue to observe the “social distancing” guidelines. The value of this service is in being able to join others on the property to share a service together, even though you are in your car.
